WHat's happening?

The U.S. has the highest maternal mortality rate among developed countries.
The Black maternal mortality rate is 3x higher than that of white women.
The Black infant mortality rate is 3.8x higher than that of white babies.

Our mission

Here at the Birth Nerd. INc we commit to helping fight the maternal mortality rate in marginalized communities through educational development, empowerment, advocacy, and other tangible resources. We vow to assist expectant parents throughout pregnancy, labor/delivery, the postpartum period, and beyond. At The Birth Nerd, Inc., we strive to be justice rights advocates, working to bring the doula care model to people across the full spectrum of pregnancy issues, including abortion, stillbirth and miscarriage, fertility, and sex.

She comes with me to every prenatal appointment, even if she’s not allowed to come inside. If I don’t understand something during my appointments, I can always call her on her cell and she helps me to communicate to the doctor so that I am sure to be given the best medical care. If you need a doula, Dannaca is the one to call!”
